No words express her kindness to me and my family. I am sad.

Steve and girls, We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Phyllis's death. Our daughters attended Kerr Elementary together and we remember how Phyllis always had such kind things to say about our girls. We also remember fondly her love of tennis. She had the ability to befuddle so many of us on the tennis court with her crafty left-handed game. We wish you strength and send our sympathies during this difficult time.

Dear Steve, Natalie and Alexa. Zvika and I were devastated to hear from Uncle Bob Chamovitz yesterday that Phyliis was sick , and then just a few hours later that she had died. Our year in Pittsburgh so long ago, but feels like yesterday, allowed us to become friends and not just kissing cousins. I have no words, but hugs from afar from Israel. And tears. We wish we could be with you. love, Raina (and Zvika and Tamar and Maia)

Steve, Natalie, Alexa, Billy and Howard: I'm so sad to hear of Phyllis's illness and passing and send my heartfelt condolences. Last time I saw her was at our 35th high school reunion. My memories today are of our girlhoods together, as cousins who were also classmates, our trip to Florida when we were 13 and lots of wonderful memories of us spending time with Phyllis's loving grandmother, my great aunt Libby. May her memory be a blessing to all. I'm sorry I can't be in Pittsburgh with all of you...

Steve and girls- we are so sad that Phyllis has passed. Even though we knew she was ill, it still seems strange that someone who was so lively is not here now. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
