FRIEDMAN, YVETTE WALTERS; On Monday, June 25, 2018; beloved wife of the late Irving Friedman; loving mother of Joseph Friedman (Merle Morgenstern), the late Dr. Steven A. (Karen) Friedman, and Wendy Friedman Forlano (Joseph Forlano). Sister of the late Samuel Walters (late Fanny) and the late Miriam Friedman (late Joseph L. Friedman). Devoted Bubbie of Alison Epstein-Ramos (Luis Ramos), Melody Forlano (fiance Eric Broney), Taylor Forlano, Douglas Forlano, Scott Friedman, Marc Friedman; adoring great-grandmother of Kaia Love and Kean Emilio; also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Yvette was born September 26, 1924 in Pittsburgh where she married and raised her family. She lived in Phoenix, AZ for 21 years, returning to Pittsburgh in 2001, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She worked as a stenographer, bookkeeper, and office manager. She was a member of Hadassah, Jewish War Veterans Auxilliary, and B'nai Brith Women. Yvette was a long-time member of Young Peoples Synagogue. She served as the public address announcer at Riverview Towers and was a pillar of the Riverview Towers orthodox congregation. She was a beloved friend and confidant to many. Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11 AM at Beth Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. We are very sorry for your loss, I will always think of your Mother when I go past Altoona, Johnstown, Ebensburg, Loretto, St Francis Univ. Cresson, Nanty Glo,and of course Pittsburgh. Where I saw Allman Bros Band in 1970 and Emerson, Lake & Palmer in 1971. We wish you all the strength to continue her Legacy. Peace & Love.
