ROTHBERG, GLORIA: age 91, on Sunday, May 12, 2013. She joins her beloved husband of 70 years, Benjamin Rothberg. Loving mother of David (Leslee) Rothberg, Joan (Dick) Schneider, Robert (Phyllis) Rothberg, Ann (Tim Leonard) Rothberg, Amy (Anthony) Pardo, and Michael (Shira Atik) Rothberg; predeceased by her brother Victor Meyer; very beloved by 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Gloria was born and raised in New York City and lived in New Jersey for over 50 years before making Pittsburgh her home. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Hunter College and earned a Master's in Romance Languages from Syracuse. She loved everything to do with language: crossword puzzles, French conversation, word games and the stories of the people she met. She was a General Reader and Monitor for Recording for the Blind for 30 years, and also worked with the NCJW, and enjoyed working on book sales for the Brandeis University Women's Committee. Services at Temple Emanuel of South Hills 1250 Bower Hill Rd., Mt. Lebanon on Monday at 1:30 p.m. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mt. Lebanon Library, 16 Castle Shannon Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. Arrangements entrusted to RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC.

Both of your parents were important people to my parents. Like your parents, my parents were transplants from the East Coast (NY). They enjoyed Ben and Gloria who were smart, Intellectual, with a real edge to them. Recently, my Mom, Audrey, loved that Ben and Gloria were in her regular card game. They will be missed. Stephanie
