SMITH, DAVID EDWARD: Age 80, suddenly On Tuesday, July 29, 2014; Beloved husband of Norma (Sattenstein) Smith. Much loved father of Marcee Smith and the late Stewart A. Smith. Son of the late Samuel and Rebecca Simon Smith. Brother of the late Roslyn Smith Sims and Suzanne Smith Rubinstein. Loving grandpa of Phebe Marion Barnett and Rebecca Hollis Smith. Also survived by two nieces, Hayley and Brynne Rubinstein and nephew, Dr. Steven Rubinstein, a daughter in Pittsburgh and his constant companion, Dolly, a wee West Highland Terrier. David attended Staunton Military Academy, Taylor Allderdice High School, University of Kentucky and Duquesne University. He founded D & N Smith Company which was a financial consulting firm in the men's clothing industry. He turned around and saved many businesses throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Friends may meet at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 12 Noon and then proceed to West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation for 1 PM Graveside Services. Dearest Norma, Marcee and Brenda We just heard the awful news. We went to a wedding in London and are now in a remote corner Ireland and will not be able to get to the service. We will try and call shortly. We wish we could be there to remember and give support. I bet he and Stewart (and my mom) are having a nice reunion. With all our love
