Joe and I both worked for Fred, Joe first, from 1990 - 2000, and I worked for him from 2001 until he retired. However, I got to know him while Joe worked for him, cause he was always calling me at work, wanting to know if Joey could have a kitchen pass! What a treasure of man. He will be missed, loved his laugh, his sense of humor, and well just him.

Not being with all of you today has been very difficult for us. Please know how much we adored Fred ... how much he meant to us ... and how different life already feels without him here. Fred was our rock ... his knowledge, his wisdom, his integrity ... everything about Fred earned our respect and admiration. His stories and life experiences never ceased to amaze ... and his jokes could be counted on for a great laugh when it was needed most! This is a huge loss for all of us ... and for our Jewish Community. There will never be another Fred Cohen ... he was one in a million and one of a kind. Nothing can ever be the same now .... but how lucky all of us have been to have known this incredible man. We love all of you so much and are forever grateful that you shared him with us over all of these years.
