DR. MONICA ANN ZETTLER-SEGAL: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Dr. Monica Ann Zettler-Segal who passed on June 8, 2024 after a beautifully lived life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Joe Zettler, her husbands, Robert O'Hearn and Jerry Segal, and her granddaughter Emily Segal. Monica is survived by her siblings, Jo, Mike, Toby and Bill and their spouses, numerous beloved nieces and nephews, children Deirdre O'Hearn (Tim Baldwin), Sean (Steve) O'Hearn (Demmler Schenck), Kirsten O'Hearn Donny, step-son and daughter Lee and Susie Segal and her grandchildren Frances and Audrey Donny, Jory and Julia Segal, Benjamin Segal (Feliz) and Jessica Segal - as well as her great-grandaughter, Agnes Segal, and her helpers Jackie, Bev and Sue, and a cat named Chance. She dearly loved them all. She fiercely enjoyed life, loved the arts, and wanted everybody to follow their passions. She felt a responsibility to be a steward for the earth and the powerless both human and animal. Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 10 AM at Penn Forest Natural Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to her favorite charities the World Food Program USA and Best Friends Animal Society. She will be missed every day.
