ETHAN COANE: Died peacefully at his Pittsburgh home during the week ending Friday, August 18, 2023. Services and Interment were held on August 23, 2023 at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery (Pittsburgh). He is survived by nephews Gary (Diane) Kaplowitz of Concord, CA, Andy (Lore Filgueira) Kaplowitz of Seattle, Dan Zimmerman of Fairfield, CT, Matt (Catherine) Zimmerman of Charlottesville, VA, and cousins Steve (Carol) Cohen (Holland, PA), Marc (Helene) Cohen (Ardmore, PA) and Sandy (Andy) Mislove Newman (Huntington Valley, PA), as well as former brother in law Alan Zimmerman (Fort Lee, NJ). He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Coane (Philadelphia) and Mildred Coane (Pittsburgh), his sisters Linda Coane Kaplowitz Copeland (Olympia, WA), and Honey Coane Zimmerman (Cranford, NJ), and his nephew David (Shelley) Kaplowitz (Duvall, WA).

Ethan will be remembered fondly by his family and his neighbors, especially Alli and Eric Lewis, who became close friends, and his longtime friends Ira Litman (Philadelphia), Garry Wamser (Bloomsburg, PA), and Sherri Angel (Pittsburgh).
