FAYE (FLORENCE MARGARET) FISCHMAN: June 5, 1934 - September 21, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Fischman. Loving mother of Dennis (Rona) Fischman, Cantor Yael (Jonathan Charry) Fischman, Gary Fischman, late Ronald Fischman, and late Joel Fischman. Daughter of the late William Chosky, late Rose Greenberg Chosky, and late Yetta Zwick Chosky. Sister of Sandra (late Sam) Gilliam. Also survived by grandchildren Avigayil and Nava Fischman-Charry, Erez and Rebecca Fischman-Cohen and their mother Stessa Cohen. Faye was a longtime member of Parkway Jewish Center. She was a former receptionist at Jewish Family & Childrens Services and former President of Resident Association of Beacon Place. Faye was an avid reader and amateur librarian, managing the Parkway Jewish Center and Beacon Place libraries. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 1 PM. Visitation one hour prior to services (12 noon - 1 PM). Interment Homewood Cemetery.
