SASLAW: William C., on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, beloved husband for 64 years of Joanne Joseph Saslaw. Beloved father of Marian N. Friedman (Gary). Son of the late Max and Estelle Saslaw. Bill graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in June, 1942,and worked in the steel mills to help the war effort before enlisting in the US Army Air Corps in 1943. He was a World War II veteran and served in Saipan in the Mariana Islands in the South Pacific as a B-29 bomber radioman and radar signal/communications. Bill received an Honorable Mention from the Pentagon. He was a proud member of the Greatest Generation. After his service, Bill worked as a manufacturers rep for five handbag corporations in New York. Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation.
