STANLEY DICKSON: Age 95 years, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in Pittsburgh, PA. Stan was born September 3, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. Husband of the late Marion Dickson (Ernstorff); father of Johanna Sohinki (Arnie), Fran Dickson and Neil Dickson (Kimberly). Grandfather of six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Brother of Theodore Dickson (Sandy), four nephews, and special friend, Marilyn Schwebel. 

Stan graduated from Brooklyn College with a BA and MA degrees. He served in the Coast Guard during WW II. Stan later went to the University of Buffalo where he earned a Doctorate of Education in Special Education. He was certified and licensed in Speech Pathology and Audiology. He became a Full Professor at the State University of New York College at Buffalo in speech pathology and audiology. He served as a consultant in audiology to local physicians and was the Executive Director of the Rochester Hearing and Speech Center in Rochester, NY.  Stan enjoyed a productive professional career as a gifted teacher and scholar. He published over fifteen articles in journals relating to speech and hearing, exceptional education, social psychiatry, pediatric otolaryngology, and others. He was active in Temple Emanuel which later became Temple Shaarey Tzedek in Buffalo where he served as Chairperson of the Board, Treasurer and Secretary.  Stan was committed to strengthening Jewish education in the Buffalo area. He served as Chairperson of Adult Education for the Council of Conservative Synagogues and was on the board of the Bureau of Jewish Education.

Stan was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and was a season ticket holder for many years. Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 11 AM at Wellwood Cemetery, West Babylon, New York.
