Uncle Pal will be missed by all of us. Pal and Helen are very dear to us, they always made themselves available for our family occasions and milestones. Pal was like the grandfather that our girls don’t have in this world. He gladly held all of our girls when they were newborns and always had a smile for them even when he wasn’t feeling great and in turn, made them smile and laugh. We are saddened by his passing but grateful for having had him in our lives. He was the embodiment of sweetness yet wise and solid like an old oak tree. He was a mensch and was our family’s “Kohen” - faithfully leading Passover Seder every year - with dual emphasis on reflecting on the meaning of the story and getting to the meal! A truly beautiful soul and a life well lived! Love - The Zimmerman’s: Charlie, Katie, Kayla, Lily and Zoey

Helen and family, I wish to extend my sincere sympathy. Pal was always so pleasant, kind, and good with his niece's (Joan Zimmerman's) grandchildren, myself, and my family at all the birthdays and various other events and occasions that we were all at. Charlie Zimmerman (Joan's son) is married to my daughter Katie.

Even though we had been neighbors across the street for years, I didn’t know Sid and Helen until the past few years. It has been my privilege to know him. We shared a love of dahlias , even though I was not the expert, and a love of gardening. One time when I was visiting their home, Sid showed me how he was keeping track of his grandson’s trek across Europe. He was so happy and proud to be a part of the adventure! My sympathy and prayers for Helen and his family. Sincerely, Joann D’AmbrosioF3CHL
