WALDMAN, JANEY: On Thursday, September 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family; Janey was a proud graduate of Winchester-Thurston and Syracuse University. After graduating from college, she joined her mother at the Namedropper, a ladies clothing boutique. There she formed a dynamic duo with her mother and expanded to three stores, in Shadyside, Mt. Lebanon and Sewickley. During that time she married Saul Glosser, and had one son, Douglas Glosser. Doug was the pride and joy of her life. Primarily working at the Sewickley store, Janey had a keen sense of style, and her customers' faithfully trusted her fashion sense. Many of her customers' became her friends and her friends became her customers. Janey remarried and moved to Calabasas, California. There she enjoyed the lifestyle and glamour of Los Angeles. She was an avid sportswoman who hiked, did yoga, and played golf. Stricken with cancer in 2007, Janey eventually moved back to Pittsburgh to courageously battle the disease. She became a leader in the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. She recently participated in the ovarian cancer walk in North Park. She made many friends all around the country who were stricken with ovarian cancer and provided a great deal of support for many women. Her warmth, laughter, and courage will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ilene. She is survived by her father, Morris, her son, Douglas, her brothers, Hal (Diane), Daniel (Barbara), and Dr. John Waldman and his fiancée Wendy Kaplan, and nieces and nephew; Kelly Katharine and Andrew Waldman and Danielle and Lauren Waldman. Hal, Diane and Family I was so saddened today to learn of Janey's death. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I enjoyed speaking with her on several occasions. She was always so full of spirit and light. I last saw her several weeks ago, held her hand for a brief moment and told her that she would remain in my prayers for a complete recovery. I will continue to pray for all of you who will deeply miss her. Celebrate her courage and determination. She was amazing! Dee Stroup
