STEWART, M.D., MERVIN STANLEY: On Friday, September 16, 2016 after a brief illness. A good listener, he was happily married for 65 years to Marcia Mamolen. Loving father to Dr. Ellen (Dr. Jeffrey) Cohen, Carol (Ian) James and Andrew (Carole Bailey) Stewart. Adored grandfather to Talia (Taylor) Brinkman, Paige, Elizabeth, Benjamin and Henry Cohen, Noah and Ellis James and Emma, Zachary and Dania Stewart; and one great-granddaughter, Eliza Brinkman. Predeceased by his parents, Katie and Nathan Stewart, and his older brothers: Maurice, Norman and Sander. Born September 11, 1927, Dr. Stewart spent his adult life as a local and national leader and teacher in psychiatric and psychoanalytic practice. For his wisdom and counsel, his family, friends and patients will be forever grateful. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Sunday at 2:30 PM. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Interment Homewood Cemetery.
