DORSEY, SHIRLEY (GREENBERG): On Friday, April 28, 2017; Beloved wife of the late Albert J. (Joe) Dorsey. Loving and adoring mother of Hannah Brina Dorsey. Beloved daughter of the late David and Hannah Greenberg. Loving sister of Bernard Greenberg and the late Irvin Greenberg. Mrs. Dorsey has been President of Shaare Torah Sisterhood for many years and took great pride and pleasure in instituting many of the activities and programs at the Synagogue. She was a beloved Morah for many decades. She taught at Shaare Torah Hebrew and Sunday Schools. She began the tuition free Hebrew School for Jewish Children in the community that wanted a Jewish education and could not afford it. She also taught at Hillel Academy for many decades. Morah Dorsey was very dedicated to all her students and imbued them with a love of Torah and Tefillah, fundamentals of reading and most importantly exemplary Middos and Character. Morah Dorsey and her daughter, Morah Chana were privileged and honored to teach together in the same classroom. Over the years they significantly impacted the lives of hundreds of students in the Pittsburgh community and beyond. She was a sincere, kind and caring person whose family meant everything to her. She was a very special wife, mother and sister. Services at Shaare Torah Congregation, 2319 Murray Avenue, Squirrel Hill on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 1 PM. Interment Shaare Torah Cemetery.
