Martha Kwalwasser

KWALWASSER, MARTHA:  Passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. She was 60 years old. Martha was born and raised in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Edgar and Ann Lois Kwalwasser. She was a social worker, administrator, and care manager who dedicated her career to helping seniors. A graduate of Arcadia University, the University of Southern California Andrus Gerontology Center, and the University of Pittsburgh Master’s Program in Social Work, Martha most recently served as a guardian for senior clients in Allegheny County. Previously, she managed senior programs for the JCC of Greater Pittsburgh, the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, and SeniorBridge. She is survived by her brother, James Kwalwasser, and her caregiver and dear friend, Genevieve Warner. Martha will be remembered as a loving, generous person with many lifelong friends who loved her dearly and meant the world to her. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Thursday at 1 PM. Visitation one hour prior to services, (12 Noon - 1 PM). Interment Homewood Cemetery. www.schugar.com
