His family is especially grateful to his aide, Kelly, who selflessly was always by his side. Send Condolence

For many years, Sam and I would enjoy Rodef Shalom Congregation's Shabbat service together. I enjoyed his company greatly and considered him a good friend. We had in common our long period of service to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. He shall be sorely missed.

Sam was always affable and caring. In his later years I looked forward to our frequent phone conversations, even though we were separated by distance when I was spending more time in Israel. He was a star at my granddaughter's bat mitzvah celebration not quite 2 years ago. Everyone loved sweet Sam. My husband, Michael, and I will miss him.
