IRENE STOEHR: A native of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on February 10, 2023 at the blessed age of 98 years young. Irene recently resided in the suburbs of Northbrook, IL. She was a deeply devoted and loving wife of 52 years to the late Harry Stoehr, cherished mother of Cindy and Dr. James Tauberg of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania and Cantor Steven and Susan Stoehr of Northbrook, Illinois. Proud Grandmother (and Sweetiepie) of Jennifer (Tauberg) and Jason Kwicien of Baltimore, Md., Dr. Brandon and Lauren Tauberg and Joshua Tauberg of Pittsburgh, PA, Jacob and Ilana Stoehr of Livingston, New Jersey, Talia Stoehr of Chicago, IL and Alana Stoehr of Los Angeles, CA. Adoring great-grandmother to Madison, Bryce and Ryder Kwicien, Hayden and Hudson Tauberg, and Liv Stoehr.

Irene was a proud member of B’nai Emunoh Congregation in Pittsburgh and Congregation Beth Shalom of Northbrook. She found life’s pleasures in her family and the friends she cherished.

Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11 AM. Visitation one hour prior to services (10 AM – 11 AM).

Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery.

Shivah will be observed at the home of Cindy and Dr. James Tauberg, on Tuesday following committal services until 8:00 PM (with an evening service at 7:00 PM). Wednesday from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, (with an evening service at 7:00 PM). www.schugar.com

So sorry to hear. Cindy , I have such fond memories of sleepovers at your house. I always tell the story of when you asked your mom what VD was and she answered “Veteran,s Day “ ! Condolences to your brother too. I had the pleasure of hearing him perform pre COVID at my shul in Columbus (Bexley) Ohio

My sincere sympathy to you and your family. Your childhood house on Beechwood Blvd has many fond memories as it was the route ( a stop by) to walk to Allderdice. My her memory be a blessing.
