ELLIOT SLOANE: Died peacefully at home on Friday, May 12, 2023. A native Pittsburgher and avid Steeler fan who moved for the weather to Los Angeles in 1976 and became a fanatical Lakers fan! He developed a passion for playing basketball and beach volleyball, which led to him making multiple life long friends.  His careers included working as a hair stylist, guitar and singing teacher at Child Net, a program for abused and disadvantaged children, and a gourmet food salesman.  In this last endeavor, many of his clients became personal friends.  Elliot enjoyed life and nothing made him happier than making others laugh.  His positive outlook, sense of humor and quick wit will be sorely missed. Survived by beloved brother Leslie Sloane and sister-in-law Jenny; brother of Randi and brother-in-law of Michael. Proud uncle of Jeff (Lacy), Reid (Terri), Brian (Katie) and even prouder great uncle of Cooper, Sebastian, Charli, Annie, Graham, and Parker. Preceded in death by the love of his life Jennalyn and son of the late Lois and Richard Sloane. Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 2 PM at Homewood Cemetery. Shiva will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Adat Shalom Congregation, 368 Guys Run Road, Cheswick, PA 15024 at 7 PM. Randi and Leslie, I am so sorry for your loss! Paul relayed your message to me… Thank you very much! Elliot was one of a kind! Back in the day we all had some great times. He never treated me like Paul’s little sister. He was one of the funniest people, and will be missed by all!

I am so sad to hear of this. I was Elliot’s friend back in the 70’s before he moved to LA. We lost touch but I have thought about him many times over the years. So very sorry to all of his family. He was a great guy!
