We were friends with Shirley through the Squirrel Hill Walker Talkers. We remember meeting at the corner of Northumberland and Shady for our daily early morning walks and then stopping at Bruegger’s or the Bagel Factory to schmooze. We also remember Shirley’s yearly Oscar parties at which she asked numerous trivia questions giving prizes for correct answers. She always wrote clever songs for these gatherings. Shirley was a good friend and will be missed. Love, Flo and Toby

Shirley was a wonderful person and a great travel mate. We went all over the world together. She was always up for a good time and never complained. Every fall for over 30 years we went to New York to see the newest shows on Broadway. What fabulous times we had. I miss her.

We were so sad to hear about Shirley. She was such a wonderful part of our lives, walking, traveling and partying. Her Oscar parties were the hit of our group, and her song lyrics for each year's Oscar Party were fabulous. She was quite the hostess. Many, many fond memories.
