Jean Chottiner

JEAN CHOTTINER (nee Steiner): Passed away on October 20, 2023 in Plymouth, Michigan. Jean was born in Donora, Pennsylvania on February 10, 1926 to Harry and Rebecca Steiner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jacob Chottiner, brothers Isadore (June) Steiner and Johnny Steiner, and sister Rose (Harry) Selkowitz.

Jean is survived by her children, Elaine Chottiner, Gary Chottiner (Anne Poirson), Sharon Myatt, Rebecca Chottiner (Andrew Rosenzweig), and grandchildren Ariel Myatt, Diana Rosenzweig, and Aaron Rosenzweig.

Graveside service and interment will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Pliskover Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. www.schugar.com

Elaine, I just now saw this obit for your mom, and send you sincere condolences. .I have so many fond memories of her! Mostly I remember walking to your house on school mornings and then we\\\'d ride together the rest of the way. Your mom was so special to me because she was the first adult to talk to me like I was an adult, and that\\\'s an important milestone when your a teenager, especially an insecure teen (like I was!). In any case, the world is a colder, more lonely place without her. May her memory be a blessing.
