I was very sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Mandell. He was such a committed and dedicated substitute teacher at East Allegheny H.S. I know that he touched so many lives in the district and made such an impact on so many of students hecame in contact. He made each student feel as though they were just as important as the next. Working in the H.S. office I would be greated by a warm smile and usually a little thought for the day by Mr. Mandell! I will treasure this time always. Rest in Peace. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Mr Mandell....what an inspiration he was, to me and for so many kids at EA. Everytime he was in a class room I couldn't wait to hear what he had to say. Years later, I still think of the impact this gentleman had on me. I'll never forget inviting him to my graduation party and he felt bad that he couldn't go, so he gifted me with a Clarion t shirt and told me I was going to great things. I still have the shirt and Everytime I wear it I think of him. My heart hurts knowing he is no longer here. You'll always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for everything you have done. Rest in peace. Love-Ashley❤️
