RONALD SECORIE: Of Ellicott City, MD, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on June 16, 1943, in Mount Pleasant, PA, son of the late Steve and Florence (Fredrick) Secorie, he leaves a legacy of love, wisdom, and kindness that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Ron spent a lifetime dedicated to his family and community. He was a pillar of strength, offering unwavering support and guidance to those around him. His warm smile and compassionate heart touched the lives of many. He will always be remembered for his corny jokes and ability to talk to anyone about anything.

Ron was a devoted husband of 55 years to Betty Ann Secorie (Kotys) and a loving father to Elyse. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. His legacy lives on through the strong family bonds he helped forge.

Not only was Ron a dedicated family man, but he was also an active member of his community. He contributed his time and energy weekly to the Squirrel Hill Food Pantry, positively impacting those around him. After moving to Maryland 5 years ago to be closer to his only granddaughter, he devoted most of his time and energy to being known as the cookie provider and letting her watch whatever she wanted on TV.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Elyse Kilimnik and her husband Boris of Ellicott City, MD. Two brothers, Timothy Secorie of Acme, PA and Gregory Secorie and his wife Rita of Brooksville, FL. Also by his only granddaughter and sunshine, Eliana Kilimnik, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. While we mourn his physical absence, we celebrate a life well-lived and the love that will endure in our hearts.

The family expresses gratitude for the support and condolences during this difficult time. A memorial service to “Remember Ron” will be held on February 11, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Homewood Cemetery Chapel, 1599 S. Dallas Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217. Interment Private. Please bring your favorite Ron memory to share for the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry in Ronald Secorie’s memory. It’s my sincerest sympathy the lost of my favorite brother-law…Ronald Secorie. He was a loving and kind soul. The lost cannot be measure at this time. My sister and Ron was a happy and having deep affection for one another. Ron wasn’t only caring father of his daughter Elyse, he once told how proud he was of her. His granddaughter, Eliana who is his shiny star for the last 11 years. He was so overjoyed when his daughter introduce him ti her future husband…Boris. Ron had rather good insight when it came to characters of people. I will mourn and have great sadness of the lost his physical presence but I remember Ron’s laughter and corny jokes. But you will always live in my heart. G_dspeed Ron
