Barbara Jean (Cannon) Neft, 90 of Pittsburgh, PA., passed away on May 5, 2025. She was born December 10, 1934, in Lancaster, PA, daughter of Mason and Mildred Cannon.

Barbara is survived by son Bob Neft, daughters Lauren Jacobson and Cynthia Starr; grandchildren Brandon Starr, Ashley Jacobson and Justin Jacobson; nephews Martin Wnuk and Benjamin Yahr and son-in-law Tom Wyse, Jr. and granddaughter-in-law Fermina (Santana) Starr.

Barbara was an accomplished pianist, artist, gardener and avid tennis player, who competed in many tennis tournaments. She also loved to play slots, daily NYT crossword puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune. In her youth, she was the West View High School's May Queen.

Barbara was known for never being so busy as not to think of others, her infectious smile, and always having a story to tell. She loved animals and nature, her garden and playing cards with her friends. Above all, her Family was first and most important to her.

Barbara's greatest love was her husband Pete. Together since college, they were inseparable and loved spending time with their grandchildren, traveling, and attending sporting, musical and academic events.

Sad to hear about Mom passing. Mom was very family oriented, loved tennis, playing cards, and reading books in front of the ocean at Beach Haven, Long Beach Island, NJ. Awesome cook, like to paint and garden. Rest peacefully!
