In Loving Memory of Robert A. Rubinoff, May 31, 1943 – June 8, 2025

It is with great sorrow yet deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Bob Rubinoff who left us on Sunday, June 8th, at the age of 82. A devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was a man of unwavering strength and kindness who was driven to create a better life for his family.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 31, 1943, Bob exemplified hard work and perseverance throughout his life. Whether through the many teams he played on as a child and young adult or his career as a retail executive or the countless ways he showed up for his entire family, he was a gentle force of love, kindness, integrity, and generosity. His work ethic and love of family shaped the generations that follow him, and his warm smile and laughter brought joy to those fortunate enough to know him.

Bob is survived by his beloved high school sweetheart and wife Patti, his twin sister Roberta Fusaro, brothers-in law Joe (Deb), George (Patty), and Tim (Patty), his cherished children David (Robyn), Shelley (Denny), and Greg (Holly), his adored and perfect grandsons Sam, Max, Ben and Zac, his precious great-grandchildren Braxton and Addison, his cousins, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

The joy he found in togetherness, whether it was weekends on the boat, watching any and all sports but especially the Pirates and Steelers, or just simply sitting around a table telling stories and laughing, will forever be instilled in his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A service to celebrate Bob’s remarkable life will be held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1 PM. NO prior visitation. Interment Homewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charity that matters most to you, honoring his genuine spirit of providing for others.

Though he is no longer physically with us, Bob’s presence will always be felt by the many happy memories we share, and the love he expressed in his words and actions to those who knew him well. www.schugar.com
