Dan was my student at Syosset HS, (sister Rebecca as well) and was a really good young man. Dan had lots of personality and was fun to be around. He didn’t love school so we had some battles but it never changed my view that he was a good kid! A few years ago he reached out to me, he text me and asked how I was doing, how my family was doing. It was a very meaningful gesture and was happy to hear he was enjoying his life. I pray that he’s at peace and pray for his family.

I’m very shocked and saddened to hear of Dan’s passing. In my mind he’s still that young, mischievous scout with the biggest heart. Always helpful, always funny, always doing something the kids were told not to. He made every activity an adventure. The world is truly a darker place now without his light in it. My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends. My heart breaks for Renee. May his memory always be a blessing. 💔

Dan was a trustworthy and loyal friend for the 10+ years we’ve known each other. We played football together, had classes together, and got into shenanigans together whenever we could.
When he moved to Pittsburgh we stayed in touch, because good friends are hard to find.
He came to visit me at school in Buffalo every year for 4 years and didn’t ask me for much since I was busy, he just wanted to spend some quality time with me. He always brought positive energy and laughter with him.
Im grateful to have the memories I have with him, he was a great person and a great friend.
My condolences to his family, who I know loved him very much. Rest in Peace, Dan.

We worked together for a year at the steel mill, we always joked around and made the best of it, you even came to my court hearing when I was in some trouble. You were a good dude with a great heart. My condolences to your family …. May God rest your soul brother
