LINDA SAREE SKIRBOLL ZWANG: The heart of her family, left us on January 2, 2026, at the age of 86.

Linda was born in Pittsburgh on June 18, 1939. She was the devoted daughter of the late Jack and Anne Skirboll; the loving wife of the late Morris 'Moe' Zwang; the proud mother of Frannie Tharrington (Tony), Debbie West (Joe), and Larry Zwang (Jodi); and the utterly adored "Gammy" to Madelyn Tharrington, Maya West, Jack West, Mitchell Zwang, and Kendall Zwang. She was also the dear sister of the late Stanley and Alan Skirboll, a loving aunt to a whole crew of nieces and nephews, and a treasured friend to many.

With her brother Alan by her side, Linda worked as a co-owner and bookkeeper at Franklin 5 & 10 and Franklin Fabrics. Later, she had a twenty-plus-year career in the accounting department at Community Day School in Squirrel Hill.

She enjoyed Mahjong, vacations, and spending time with friends and family. Her grandkids were forever her "babies"-no matter how tall they grew-and she never missed a chance to sneak in a loving tushy pinch or an extra hug.

Linda's laughter, love, and mischief will live in our hearts forever.

Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11 AM at Beth Shalom Cemetery. Please call the funeral home at 412.621.8282 for shiva information.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Community Day School (comday.org) or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. www.schugar.com

My mom, Sue Kantrowitz, loved working with Linda at CDS. She was always a great friend and co-worker. May her memory be a blessing for all.

Frannie, Debbie and Larry - I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I was waved over with memories of Moe & Linda, Herbie & Bootsie, plus Patsy & Saul, Doreen & Huey...and so many of our parents' friends who helped shaped our lives as kids. It's been so many years, since then but the memories last forever. Sending lots of those loving memories and caring thoughts to you all and to your family.

You Mom and Gammy always greeted me with a big smile, when we worked at Community Day School. She was so kind and caring, and helped with financial decisions. When we retired, we would see each other at Ocher classes at Pitt. Linda and my late husband Leonard, had birthday's one day apart, remembering all the good times at Taylor Allderdice High School, where they graduated in 1957. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. May you have strength during this difficult time, and may her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.
