ARLENE K. SMITH: A lifelong resident of the Pittsburgh area, passed away following a brief illness. Born in Pittsburgh, she made her home in Churchill and Wilkins Township, Pennsylvania, where she spent the majority of her life.

Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Smith of Churchill. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Desch; her son, Dr. Kevin Smith; her stepdaughter, Attorney Debra Smith; and her stepson, Joel Smith. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Jennifer, Emily, Katelyn, Alexander, and Daniel.

A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
