CHARLES B. ARENT: On May 18, 2026. Beloved twin brother of the Late Paul S. Arent. Preceded in death by his parents Phyllis and Herbert Arent. Survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous good friends.
Mr. Arent was a sales representative for 18 years with Gipson Bearing Co., followed by a partnership with his brother in Arent Office Supply Co. of Murrysville for 21 years. He retired in 2013 after working for 50 years. During part of that time he was a 21 year volunteer with Wilkins-Churchhill Rescue One Ambulance Association, and was grateful to have been awards life membership status.
Chuck was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served our country with distinction in the Vietnam War. He was awarded two purple hearts for wounds received in combat action, and two air medals for over 100 hours of sustained aerial combat. His exemplary military service was also recognized with other honors, including The National Defense, Republic of Vietnam Service and "Tet" campaign medals.
After his military service, Chuck attended Point Park University, mornings, evenings and summers while working full time. He graduated Point Park with a degree in journalism and public relations in 1973.
Services will be held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 11 AM. Visitation one hour prior to services (10AM-11AM). Interment Temple Sinai Memorial Park, Plum Boro.

I’m so glad that I was able to visit with Chuck in the last month while he was at the VA. We were volunteers together for many years but had lost touch. He was a wonderful man who will be sorely missed. Rest in peace my friend.
