In Loving Memory of Arthur Lewis Goldberg

Arthur Lewis Goldberg, a man of seeking and sharp intellect, passed away on Wednesday, May 20 at the age of 87. Born in the Bronx, he was the younger son of the late Rachel and George Goldberg.

Art grew to treasure the family he created and discovered. He spent the last eight years married to his devoted wife, Renée Ramo. He was the loving father of his daughter, Debi Gilboa, and a proud grandfather to his four grandsons: Ari, Nadav, Oren, and Gavri. He valued Renée's children Jaci, Bill (Emily) and Seth, and their children Daphne, Jake, Ethan and Noah. Arthur highly prized his conversations and intellectual connections with his grandchildren, always taking a genuine interest in their lives and thoughts and insisting on regular updates.

Alongside his commitment to his family, Arthur built a highly distinguished professional life. He pursued an extensive academic path, earning a B.B.A. from the City College of New York, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and both a J.D. and LL.M. from the New York University School of Law. As a Certified Public Accountant, Arthur spent decades as a senior executive, corporate board member, and trusted business consultant, earning widespread respect for his sharp intellect and integrity. He finished his last professional obligation to the corporate board on which he served just this past Sunday, from the hospital, exactly as he desired.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ralph Goldberg. His memory will be held in the hearts of his wife Renée, his daughter Debi, his grandsons, and the family and friends who valued his wisdom and surprising humor.

Service Information: A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21 at 2pm at Beth Shalom Cemetery (1501 Anderson Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15209).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Art's memory to Young Judaea Midwest (https://www.cyjmid.org/donatenow/scholarships/).
