Steve Horwitz on Monday, May 18, 2026. Steve has always been a generous person who loved helping people. He had a definite zest for life. He shared his time, resources and his network of people to help those that he could. One of his long-time friends said of him: "Steve knew everybody, and everybody liked Steve. No matter what you needed, Steve would offer to introduce you to someone who could help you."
Steve held onto his closest friends, was fiercely loyal to them, and showed up for them no matter what. Loving son of the late David and Paula Horwitz. Brother of Roberta Horwitz.
He designated himself as an organ donor - which is consistent with his generous spirit. Because of his blood type, and the marvelous team at Presby's cardiac-ICU, he will keep helping people the best that he can. We know that he would like that. This final act will be like the rays of sun shining through the dark clouds.
