SARA SPATTER: Passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of 27 years to the late Samuel Spatter and the loving and cherished mother to Susan Booth, Megan Finkelstein (Jay) and loving stepmother to Susan Breitenbach (David). She was the most cherished, loved and proud Grammy to Zach (Dianna), Seth and Taylor Finkelstein.
Sara worked for over 45 years as an award-winning realtor, working with Equity Real Estate, Howard Hanna and finishing her career with Achieve Reality. She and Sam shared their love and passion for real estate through their many colleagues, friends and events and loved their travels with the Pittsburgh Press food editor group, traveling to China, Peru and other "foodie" parts of the world. Sara was a lover of all animals, adoring her late Siamese cat Zoie, and Chihuahua Chi-Chi, and her cherished Chihuahua pups she leaves behind, Pablo and Pepi. Sara and Sam were active in their Mt. Washington community and loved their home, neighborhood, many friends and family.
