MARTIN B. CHETLIN: A Pittsburgh native, died on Saturday, May 30, 2026. He was 98. He is survived by his spouse of 70 years Sorlee Chetlin and his two children, Susan and Robert, and extended family. Martin, known to his friends as Marty, was a prominent Pittsburgh architect and practiced in the city for over 50 years. He received his undergraduate and masters degrees in architecture from Carnegie Tech, now Carnegie Mellon. Martin was a Korean War veteran having served as an Army officer in Korea in the Combat Engineers Branch. Martin will be missed by so many but his imprint is all around Pittsburgh in the buildings he designed. Services at Temple Emanuel of the South Hills, 1250 Bower Hill Road, Mount Lebanon on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 2 PM. Visitation one hour prior to services at Temple (1 PM - 2 PM). Dear Mrs Chetlin, I was deeply saddened to learn about your husband, I hope he did not suffer at the end, Although I have been gone from Pittsburgh for 24 years when I speak to Melinda Freed I always ask about you. Port St. Lucie, Florida
