CLARICE KATZ: On Wednesday, June 18, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Katz. Loving mother of Ann (Mickey) McDonough and Marc Katz. Sister of Hinda (Harry) Rosenbleet. Cherished grandmother of Aron Minkoff. Mama to Jodi (Eyal) Muscal and Beth (Joe) Gersten. Loved by her nieces and nephew.

Clarice was born on July 11,1932 to Joseph and Anna (Stahlberg) Mandell. She lived in the Munhall/Homestead area for most of her life. When she was 16, her mother passed away and from then on, she was a caregiver helping her father with her younger sister, Hinda, then her own family. Clarice also worked most of her life. She had many jobs but spent a long career at Mellon Bank, followed by her retirement job at Dr. Rectenwald's office. She often ran into people she remembered from work.

She married Bob in 1955 and they were happily married for 66 years before he passed in 2021. She continued living in their Park Plaza condo for a year before breaking her hip and moving to Weinberg Village. She moved to the Terrace after the Village closed and never looked back. She really enjoyed a lot of the activities and the many friends that she made. She called her daughter on the first Friday she was there and relayed how much fun she had had. We are very grateful to the staff, caregivers and residents at Weinberg Terrace for making Mom's last years so rich.

Friends may meet at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 10 AM for one hour of visitation, and then proceed to Homestead Hebrew Cemetery for 11:30 AM graveside services. Contributions may be made to the Jewish Association for Aging, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or a charity of the donor's choice. www.schugar.com

I want to express my sympathy to the family of Clarice Katz. I knew her husband, Bob, who was one of the founders of Three Rivers Lodge B' nai B' B'rith. I was an active member for 5 years..

We join in the sadness and appreciation being shared at this special family time. We knew Bob and Clarice from their many years at Beth Shalom and their shared participation in the community. We pray they are at peace and back together again in eternity.
