FRED LEFF: Of Regent Square passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Fred was a beloved son of the late Hymen and Hilda Leff. A life long music enthusiast and avid guitar player, he found great joy in playing music and sharing stories of his experiences. He often spoke about attending Woodstock and interviewed on several occasions about his memories of that historic event.

Fred enjoyed a successful career in real estate, specializing in the Regent Square area, the community he proudly called home. He shared his life with his beloved partner, the late Patti Hunt.

A kind, gentle, and sensitive man, Fred loved deeply and valued the relationships he shared with family and friends. He had an especially close and loving bond with his nieces and nephews, as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews, who brought him immense pride and happiness.

In his later years, Fred was lovingly cared for by his niece, Jennifer Kaufman, whose unwavering devotion, compassion, and endless love brought him comfort and joy. Her care and dedication will remain a lasting testament to the special bond they shared.

A very special friend Tom Critchfield was always there for Fred and Fred's family, if forever grateful for his kindness and fellowship.

Fred is survived by his brothers, Marc, Gary, and Scot Leff, sister-in-law Linda (late David) Hunt, sister-in-law Mary Ann (Ronnie) Kappeler, sister-in-law Carol Leff, and sister-in-law Rachel Leff along with his cherished nieces, Tricia Hunt, Hannah Leff Trygar, Heather Leff Conklin, Shana Leff Comberiati, Heidi Leff Schloer, Jennifer Kaufman, Rebecca Leff Johnston, Rhonda Kappeler, Allison Kappeler and Tina Hunt. Nephews, Heath Leff and Chris Kappeler. Great-nieces, Molly Goss, Mya Schloer, Megan Schloer, Brittany Eller, Remi Johnston, Aria Comberiati, Ella Trygar and Abbey Leff. Great-nephews, Gavin Leff, Luke Trygar, Zack Trygar, Matthew Goss, Max Goss, Jesse Kaufman and RJ Johnston, extended family, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

His warmth, generosity, love of music, and gentle spirit will be remembered always.

Friends may meet at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 12 Noon and then proceed to Shaare Torah Cemetery for 1 PM Graveside Services.
