CAROLE BERMAN, on July 8, 2026; beloved wife of Barry Berman, devoted mother of the late Robyn Savini and stepmother of Betsy Pirchesky. Loving grandmother of Quincy (Chase Hawthorne), Jude, and Donovan Savini; and great-grandmother of Hyperion Sage Hawthorne.

She was the sister of the late Rochelle Posin and the late Mimi Spirer, and caring aunt to her nieces and nephews: Monte and Nancy Schwartz, Samuel and Joel Posin, and Tamara Sheinman.

Carole was born in Pittsburgh and attended Taylor Allderdice High School. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Ohio State University; and her certification in Special Education from Hunter College.

She followed her passion for teaching and was a dedicated special education teacher at Community Day School for over 25 years, where she was known for going above and beyond for her students.

Carole was married to Barry for 38 years and enjoyed playing tennis and bridge together. She had many close friends and was kind and generous to everyone she met. Most of all she was fiercely dedicated to her family.

Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Beth Shalom.

Contributions in Carole's memory can be made to the Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh or other charities for the benefit of children and education.
