JAY M. CHILDS: On August 1, 2026. Son of the late Bernard and Florence Childs. Brother of the late Jordan Childs. Brother-in-law of Sheila Hauer. Cherished uncle of Norman (Gail) Childs, Scott Childs, and Brad (Linda) Childs. Survived by cousins Susie and Andy; great-nephews Jeremy (Alli) and Daniel (Phebe); great-great-nephew George Alvin; great-great-niece Willa Marie. Also survived by dear friend Bob Meisner. Jay was a lover of the arts, proudly telling everyone about his time as an actor for The Knickerty Knockerty Players. He was the manager of Dollar Bank in Squirrel Hill. Jay was an avid supporter of the Pitt Men's Study. Services and Interment Private. Contributions may be made to The Michael J. We were unable to attend service from Florida due to health and flights. We were able to join the Service via Zoom. We loved Jay very much and we cannot imagine a world without his wonderful kindness and caring. Rest well Jay.

I and my husband Charlie O\'Hanlon want to send our condolences to Jay\'s family. We, Jay and others were all part of a group of friends of Bill Briscoe (also deceased) who met through Bill and who got together a couple of times a year for many years to have dinner together and catch up with each other.

We were so saddened to hear about Jay's passing. He was a dear friend since our high school days. We would go out to lunch whenever I was in Pgh. and we were together at our recent High School Reunion.
We will miss him a lot.
