MINDY LYNN KART: On Friday, August 21, 2026; Loving mother of Jordan Kart (Jamie Exler); Daughter of the late Max and Bernice Katz; Sister of Ira Katz; also survived by the Weitzman family. Mindy was an avid dog lover. Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 11 AM at Homewood Cemetery, Star of David Section. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horn Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) aspca.org. To Jordan and Family. I am sorry to hear about the loss regarding your mother, Mindy. She will be greatly missed. Mindy was always a force of nature and I am going to miss our talks. I will never forget how she treated me during difficult times. May her memory be a blessing. I like to take comfort in knowing that she is somewhere with Andrea and they talking about the latest gossip. My condolences.

Mindy was a dear friend of mine in high school. We loved listening to the Beatles in her bedroom. Max and Bernice always welcomed me in. And Ira was close enough to drive us crazy. You will be missed dear friend.

Jordan: I saw your mother's obituary online just now and wanted to extend my sympathy to you on her passing. She was a wonderful parent at Sterrett, and of course, enrolled her delightful son there, too. Do you remember she made a decorative container with my name on it for Christmas one year? I still have it and think of her and you when I see it. I just loved it and the thoughtful gesture you and your mom made. I keep it in a cupboard which I often use, so that has kept the memory of both of you alive for me. I remember talking to you about your grandparents, too. And their Slushie Machine Biz...if I remember right. You were a very close family. Jordan, my sympathy to you and your wife, Jamie. Treasure Mindy's memory every day and speak of her often.
