PATRICIA "PATTY" ANNE GALLAGHER: On Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Beloved wife of Carl Metosky for 50 years. Loving mother of Aaron (Erin) Metosky and Ryan (Miki Horikoshi) Metosky. Sister of Carolynn (William) Stegman. Adoring grandma of Milo and Liam Metosky. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Patty was an exhibiting studio artist with an extensive resume of exhibitions, awards and publications. Her artwork was primary costume and installation, with an exploration of the female archetype. She exhibited internationally in Ireland, Great Britain and Canada, and nationally in cities like Pittsburgh, D.C., and Chicago. Her installations have been showcased at notable venues such as the Frick and the Carnegie Museum. She participated in various group exhibitions and received multiple awards, including the "Award of Excellence" at the Dairy Barn and a foundation grant for artistic excellence from the Pittsburgh Foundation. Her costume work was featured in several publications. 
She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an MSW degree and attended Pittsburgh Filmmakers, studying digital art, photo editing and web design and produced three Tarot decks, which were printed and sold all over the United States and in eighteen different countries. She also produced other deck formatted artist's books.
She was an avid reader often reading six books at a time. She was on the Board of Directors of IRVA-International Remote Viewing Association. Patty was such a superb cook and always enjoyed cooking for all of the holidays. She adored her two grandsons immensely. She was an animal lover of many pets and enjoyed boat rides with Carl, her son and daughter-in-law. Patty was also the type of person who could fix anything. 
Friends may meet at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 10 AM and then proceed to Temple Ohav Shalom Memorial Garden for 11 AM Graveside Services.
